We use Takealot's standard Marketplace API with a key you generate yourself in your Seller Portal. Read access to your offers, sales, returns, transactions and balances. Write access to your offer prices (only when you've created a repricer rule, only within the bounds you set, only the SKUs you authorise).

The key is encrypted at rest, never logged, never sent to any third party. You can revoke it in your Takealot Seller Portal at any time and ShelfRocket gracefully disables every rule on the next cycle.

POPIA-first by design. Your data is encrypted at rest. Competitor seller IDs are one-way hashed before storage so we never hold raw seller identities for anyone other than yourself. Your sales data, margins and rules are scoped to your account via row-level security; even our database queries cannot accidentally cross tenant boundaries.

We do not sell data, do not train AI models on your numbers and do not share with any third party other than the sub-processors required to operate the service (PayFast for billing, Resend for email, Anthropic for the AI strategist where you opt in).
